Personal Statement

Huifeng Zhu was born in Chifeng, Inner Mongolia, China, in 1995. He received the B.S. degree of engineering in the speciality of Information Engineering(Instrumentation Science and Optoelectronic Engineering)in Beihang University, China, in July 2017. He became an undergraduate research assistant in iVip Group, NICS(Nanoscale Integrated Circuits and Systems)Laboratory, Tsinghua University, China, since September 2015. His current work is focused on mixed-signal IC design, tapeout and test. He is also responsible for the maintenance of EDA tools and technology library.

Research Projects

Design and Test of Pixel Circuit Based on Standard CMOS Process

A bench of single-pixel sensors and a 4-by-4-pixel sensor were designed, fabricated and tested by Huifeng to verify the flow of analog IC design and the characteristics of the photodiode based on standard CMOS process. The sensors consisting current-mode pixel circuit and processing circuit were implemented in 180nm CMOS process. The test results showed they are successful designs.

Design of Proof-of-Concept Chips of CMOS Image Sensor with Novel Data-Readout Method

Huifeng proposed a CMOS image sensor data-readout method for convolutional operations based on 3T-APS pixel, which is able to output convolutional kernel-sized data from sensor part simultaneously, with processing near sensor architecture. He designed the proof-of-concept chips in 180nm standard CMOS process and the chips are under test.

Project 'aDobe'

aDobe is a tapeout project with several members worked on it, and Huifeng is the team leader.
